Muree Visit

Murree is a scenic hill station in Punjab, Pakistan, famous for its cool weather, pine forests, and stunning mountain views. It’s a favorite getaway near Islamabad and Rawalpindi, especially popular for its snowy winters and lively Mall Road.

Mall Road, Murree

  • The busiest and most iconic stretch in Murree, and the first stop for most tourists.
  • Lined with shops selling winter jackets, sweaters, and local handicrafts, plus street food stalls serving roasted corn, kebabs, chai, and halwa puri.
  • Comes alive in the evenings — bright lights, horse rides, and families out for a stroll.
  • Runs from GPO Chowk all the way to Kashmir Point.
  • Best time to visit: Evenings (5–9 PM), or during winter when it’s covered in snow for a magical look.

2. Patriata Chairlift

  • Located about 14 km from Murree, this hill station is also known as “New Murree.”
  • The main attraction is the chairlift and cable car ride, offering a breathtaking view of the valley and pine forests below as you ride up the mountain.
  • There are two options: an open chairlift and an enclosed cable car, each ticketed separately.
  • At the top, you’ll find small restaurants, viewpoints, and great photography spots.
  • Best time to visit: Daytime, on a clear day for the best visibility.
